It seems to want to put this frame around it, what a pain in the neck. Go here for it in its natural habitat.

| Money |
[Apr. 16th, 2009|12:54 pm] |
The prime minister of Australia just payed off my credit card debt. God bless you Mr Rudd. I also recently recieved an unexpected 500 from the tax office because of a years-old GST credit. They just can't keep that money to themselves. Posted via LiveJournal.app. |

| iPhone update |
[Apr. 11th, 2009|05:28 pm] |
I am making an update from my iPhone livejournal app. So I'm really just testing to see if it works. I hope so. Here is a test joke: Aide: President Bush! We've just learned that Brazillians have died in Iraq! Bush: Brazillians!? Aide: Yes sir. Bush: How many's that? My niece told me that one. It's the funniest joke she's ever told me. | Some Stuff I did |
[Mar. 17th, 2009|10:41 am] |
Firstly, a rendering of the word "Starling" I did for uni assessment. It reads exactly the same when turned upside down. Groovy, huh?
Secondly, a postcard I made today for a kids event at the cathedral. It is cathedral-jumping-castle-awesomeness... If I do say so myself.
It's post and run as I have to go off to uni. However, I need to catch up with you all so please tell me how you are and what you are up to in the comments. In addition to your glowing praise. |

| "Hoppity Hoppity Hop" said the kangaroo as he bounded onto my plate. |
[Dec. 12th, 2008|01:32 pm] |
Reasons that I am a vegetarian:
- Environmental concerns about mass raising of animals. Keeping hoofed animals causes erosion, as does mass grazing. The raising of livestock is a large contributor to Australia's methane emissions. A lot of water is also needed.
- Concerns about the quality of life of animals, and the manner of their killing.
- Concerns about the number of animals killed vs the number of animals that actually end up consumed. You should only kill what is going to be eaten, otherwise it is pointless death.
With these considerations in mind, I had my first meat meal in 7 years: Kangaroo steak.
Because:
- They are native and soft-footed which means they have a minimal impact on the land.
- Kangaroos are hunted and must be killed quickly with a clean head-shot, which eliminates concerns about their treatment.
- There is a legal limit to kangaroo killing each year.
- IT IS YUMMY
- I have been worrying about my health, but wasn't willing to give up my ethical stance. Now I don't have to.
So from now on, it's one kangaroo meal a week for me. |

| Honkey and the Cracker |
[Nov. 21st, 2008|03:56 pm] |
The Adventures of Honkey and The Cracker.
Join this zanily mismatched pair as they try to make their way in a world gone crazy. (And maybe learn something about themselves along the way) ;).

| Mickey is evil. |
[Oct. 16th, 2008|02:03 pm] |
We were watching a great Disney cartoon the other day. You know the one, where they eat corn like a typewriter. ANYWAY. We paused so Bec could "powder her nose" (i.e. pee), and this was the paused frame.
That mouse is the DEVIL!

| Climate Change is... bad I suppose |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|07:33 pm] |
A spread from a textbook on Climate Change that I'm designing for a uni assignment. In my opinion, some of the finest illustration I've done.
Sorry about the width but it has more majesty at that size.
The text on the left will be hand-written when I get around to it.

| It's all just a popularity contest! |
[Oct. 2nd, 2008|09:12 am] |
Its just so popular to hate it, and most people just go along for the ride without knowing why.
I can understand a comic artist's disdain due to its prevalence in web comics in the old days, and the fact that hand-rendered text is so incredibly superior, but in a design sense... Come ON. It must have some use?

| Weekend Project |
[Sep. 28th, 2008|08:32 pm] |
This is the final result of a weekend collaborative project at uni.
On Friday night we chose a theme.
On Saturday we built a 3D artwork from only cardboard, paper, paint, tape and a hot glue gun.
On Sunday we photographed it.
I was on the four person team who made the astronaut and rigged him up so we could position him in the scene.

| The Suitcase |
[Sep. 19th, 2008|03:34 pm] |
Here's how it ended up. Mine is in an envelope stacked in a bundle with the rest. I'll upload a picture of the actual pieces when I get home.

| Escape from Croatia |
[Sep. 9th, 2008|07:43 pm] |
Two pieces I did for uni about a man who fled croatia in 1954, jumping a ship to come to Australia.
